  1. Drove around hunting around for photo opportunities for The Wild One. (This picture on the right is one of the more artistic photos she took–not an example of the scenery.)
  2. Talked for a half hour to some shop owners in historic Carthage, Missouri about their town’s history and colonial furniture.
  3. Ate not-really-Chinese food at a “Chinese” food restaurant (it was still good).
  4. Found out that some roads that are on the map are not really there.
  5. Picked up the trail of old Route 66 and had a milkshake at a 50’s diner.
  6. Had some serious and not-so-serious discussions with friends.
  7. Slept.
  8. Practiced my guitar.
  9. Wrote some amazingly awesome blog posts.
  10. Learned the value of humility.
  11. Stayed in an amazing hotel room courtesy of the freebie points of a friend of a friend (thank you).
  12. Left my ipod in the exercise room of said hotel, and had to have it FedExed back home to me.

Musician. Composer. Recovering perfectionist. Minister-in-transition. Lover of puns. Hijacker of rock song references. Questioner of the status quo. I'm not really a rebel. Just a sincere Christ-follower with a thirst for significance that gets me into trouble. My quest has taken me over the fence of institutional Christianity. Here are some of my random thoughts along the way. Read along, join in the conversation. Just be nice.

Sounds like fun! I really like this picture – it captures beauty where most people would overlook its presence. 🙂
