I’m not sure why this is, but it seems like seasons of transition can be accompanied by so much chaos and upheaval.

I realize that we’re sort of “in between” seasons right now–something I’ve mentioned before. But it’s uncanny how much turbulence has occured in recent days, not just in our lives but in the lives of others around us. And the really weird thing is…the situations are unrelated to one another, but just all seem to be happening at once. At times like this, it’s hard to believe it isn’t something spiritual taking place.

There are lots of thoughts rushing through my brain, but very little cohesive enough to blog about. (I’ve started and abandoned several posts in the past few days.) In our own situation, all I can say is we are faced with certain circumstances that have the potential to affect us deeply, but over which we have no control whatsoever. It might be nothing, or it might be deeply significant; we just don’t know. It’s just all part of the upheaval. All we can do is lean ourselves upon God, and trust that He is keeping us and working on our behalf.

If you’re inclined to pray, I’d appreciate it if especially during the next 24-48 hours, you’d pray for us along these lines:

  • That we would have great favor with God and man;
  • That no weapon the enemy forms against us will prosper;
  • That we are sheltered from the storm around us;
  • That God’s plans for us will prevail.

Thanks. I’ll keep posting as I have intelligible things to say. 🙂

Just a sincere Christ-follower with a thirst for significance that gets me into trouble. My quest has taken me over the fence of institutional Christianity. Here are some of my random thoughts along the way. Read along, join in the conversation. Just be nice.
