Apparently, unwittingly, and happily (note the amazing use of adverbage), I have found myself in the midst of a wonderful ongoing conversation in the blogosphere. Many are sharing where they are at in their journeys of “de-construction”, of re-thinking and sometimes leaving behind long-standing mindsets about how to “do church” and what “church” should look like, as well as what their own path of discipleship should look like. A lot of great thoughts and comments are being posted by others, both here in the comments and on other blogs.
Here are some more pieces of the conversation, other postings which are worth checking out:
- Sarah, on her Accidental Blog, makes a great point about the process of de-construction in this posting.
- Lyn of Beyond the 4 Walls talks in this post about her current (and understandable) identity crisis.
- Grace at Kingdom Grace posted this a few days ago, sparking a flurry of discussion (be prepared to spend some time here reading the comments–there are a lot of them).
- Jim at “Lord, I Believe….” raises a great question here.
- And Glenn at Re-Dreaming the Dream is planning a synchroblog for April 7, where many will be blogging about these very things. Feel free to participate in it and link to him, or bookmark his page and check back next Monday.
These aren’t the only ones, but these are recent good reading material and food for thought. And to all who are currently blogging about this…thanks for letting me jump in.
Thanks, Jeff!
