The Director was filming on HDV cassette. So yes, it’s digital, but yes, there is tape.

Because you didn’t want the church bells on the audio track.
(I used to be a building manager at a somewhat historic church that often ended up being a film set , in case you’re wondering how I figured it out. I had to learn how to silence the bell’s programming during shoots.)
